Deactivate Bomb on bus in Dublin following the visit of Queen Elizabeth II
DUBLIN .- A bomb found on a bus was detonated in a security zone on Tuesday, hours before the arrival of Queen Elizabeth II to Dublin, officials of the police and the Irish Defence Forces.
The device was found in the chamber baggage of a bus traveling on the outskirts of Maynooth, County Kildare west of Dublin, authorities said.
The bomb was found Monday night and was declared safe on Tuesday morning after a controlled explosion by experts.
Fragments of the bombs were delivered to the police to be tested and research.
Explosives experts also analyzed at least one other suspicious items discovered on Tuesday.
Irish Prime Minister Enda Kenny said the threat of dissent is minimal due to the comprehensive security plans for the police.
"Implemented an operation complete security. You remember that we had here before U.S. presidents, "he said.
" So obviously if there have been incidents, the Gardai (police) has managed to take care of them. "

Police have formed a row in the areas of Dublin that the queen and her husband Prince Philip plan to visit on a tour that will last for four days.
